"Embracing Change" Training Wraps Up Today
The "Embracing Change" training wraps up today in Bismarck, with the final session scheduled for this afternoon.
Facilitator Gordon Fowler's whirlwind two-week tour of the state has been an interesting experience for the California resident. Single-digit morning temperatures do not mix well with his thin West Coast blood. "It's a good thing Starbuck's is in Bismarck," he says, warming himself with his standard venti vanilla latte.
Gordon has been in love with North Dakota ever since his first week here last year working with the Project SHARE coordinators.
The SHARE Network is a passion for Gordon and his company, Fall Communications. His eyes light up as he talks about the Network and the success of the SHARE coordinators. He's especially impressed with this agency's ability to succeed. "When North Dakotans do something," he has often said, "they don't just get it done. They do it better than anyone else."
That admiration for the state prompts Gordon to say his dream job would be to serve as North Dakota's Tourism Director.
As for the change management training, evaluations have been extremely positive. Several have said the training "revolutionized" their lives, while many more commented that the training could have run an entire day or maybe two.
Thanks to all who participated in the training and opened up to positive change. Also, thanks to Julie Rostberg for coordinating the training and making sure Gordon didn't get lost!
